BRAND RESEARCH - TRISH MCEVOY

 “The power of make up”

HERITAGE

Renowned makeup artist and innovating entrepreneur Trish McEvoy was essentially born into beauty through her grandmother’s Berlin perfumery. She founded Trish McEvoy Beauty when she was twenty-five, and turned it into a multi-million dollar company by the age of thirty.
From her first job behind a cosmetics counter, to hosting house makeup workshops in between photo shoots Trish became known for teaching the Power of Makeup™. In 1978 she opened one of the nation’s first medi spas in New York City, The Dr. Ronald Sherman/Trish McEvoy Skin Care Center, where in partnership with her husband, a renowned dermatologist, they helped pioneer the revolutionary marriage of beauty and science.

Trish’s end in mind is to empower today's woman to understand and execute her own makeup goals with the Trish Method of simplicity, organization, and natural beauty enhancement.

PRODUCT

Within five years, her best selling products had converted the brand into a multi-million dollar company. Renowned for her space saving ideas, the brand offers a huge range of luxurious products for face, lips, eyes, skincare and even perfume. Her products are all specifically tailored to the modern jet-setting woman. For example her gel liners are made for easy application designed in pencil form and her newest release of the 24-hour eye shadow and liner in one pens. These will particularly appeal to customers who want less hassle with make up in the morning and would possibly look at these products as great travel essentials. She also has a whole range of make up planners and makeup brushes that are very popular.

PACKAGING

The packaging of her palettes and compact powders are sleek, simple and black with her signature name Trish printed on the bottom right corner in white. Other packaging will be the same but with her full brand name printed on the surface. Her other products such as eye make up, skincare and tools are silver themed and more pure luxurious looking. It seems that their main focus is on the quality of their products and not so much on packaging.

PRESENTATION

The overall presentation of their counter is very pure and elegant and it reflects the same look on their packaging especially with her fragrances, body and skin care. The counter has a simplistic layout and the products are organized in a logical manner, as Trish’s Methods of beauty are of simplicity, organization, and natural enhancement. Experience within the counter is very friendly and the artists are always willing to help with finding the products you are looking for, or searching for the best recommendations for you.
